A talk on " For the Love of Literature" by noted film actor and theatre artist, director, playwright Mr. Joy Mathew was organized by the theatre club on 12 Sep 2022, from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm . It was an engaging session, followed by an interaction with the guest who discussed in detail the nuances of acting and script writing.

Stolen Shorelines – by Dept of English

The Film Club screened a documentary titled 'Stolen Shorelines' directed by Environmental Journalist Mr. K A Shaji, which brings to light the corporate greed that claims the shoreline ecosystem & peaceful lives of the fisherfolk in Kerala. this was followed by an active interactive session in which the students raised significant questions on environmental issues, all of which were addressed by the director K A Shaji.

The Department of English organized a session on Spanish Culture and Literature with Dr. Manjula Balakrishnan (HoD of Linguistic Policies, Francisco de Vitoria University, Madrid) as the resource person. The session, titled “Espana es Diferente”, traced the history of the Spanish civilization and culture, and highlighted the links between Spanish and English literatures.

Inauguration of the Research Forum of PG and Research Dept. of English

The Research Forum of the PG and Research Dept. of English was inaugurated on 27 June 2022. The chief guest, alumna Dr. Anu Kuriakose delivered a talk on the topic "Re(presenting) Transgender Identities in Malayalam Cinema and Public Sphere". The principal Sr.Jaseena Joseph presided over the meeting and felicitated Dr. Anu Kuriakose on her selection for the Chief Minister's Nava Kerala Post Doctoral Fellowship. The former teachers of the department were the guests of honor at the event. Two of the research scholars - Ms. Anuradha P.R and Ms. Divya Menon made presentations on their research work. [...]
